Q: I received an overwhelming amount of quotes, How should I choose who to use?
A: The time it takes for us to schedule the pickup of your vehicle depends on the price you pay. We can match any price you find, but in doing so, you will be waiting quite a while for a pickup. We understand the attraction of a very cheap quote, but you must be prepared to be very patient for a pickup if you do decide to have Nationwide go below the average cost to obtain a driver for you. If you are in no hurry for the transport (such as an extra vehicle) and are looking for a great deal, then sure we can submit your order at a discount and wait for a driver to schedule you in. If you do have a schedule that needs to be met though, then you really must consider avoiding the cheapest quotes and pay the average price on a route to ensure a driver is scheduled to pick up your vehicle. In this industry, cheap quotes really do not produce drivers, and customers only realize this weeks after waiting and waiting, only to then be charged large cancellation fees from shady and dishonest companies.
Q: How long will it take my car to get picked up?
A: Pickup dates are normally NOT guaranteed at our original quote price to you. However, if you are in need of an expedited pickup (within 48 hours) or you need an exact day for pickup, then there is an additional cost involved to guarantee your pickup per your needs.
Q: How far in advance should I place my order in order for it to get picked up when I need it to?
A: We suggest that you schedule your move as soon as possible to arrange your pick up within the time frame that meets your schedule. We normally ask for a 5 to 7 day advance reservation to assure a spot on a truck. If your vehicle is available for pick up immediately we will do our best to insure that your vehicle will be transported on the first available route. We may have cancellations which will release an immediate open reservation for the particular route. Scheduling your order in advance is helpful, both in a lower price and availability.
Q: Can I put some things in the car during transport?
A: We ask that you leave only up to 100 lbs. of personal items in the vehicle for transport. Items must be placed in the trunk of the vehicle and also approved by the driver. Insurance does not cover personal items during transport. Please see the shipping terms or contact a representative for more information.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: A deposit must be received at the time of your order. For your convenience we accept Electronic Checks, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express and Paypal payments. We also accept checks and money orders mailed to our corporate address. You may choose to pay the deposit and have the remainder balance paid upon delivery. At delivery the remaining balance will only be accepted as cash or cashier's check to the driver. A majority of our customers prefer to prepay the full amount as a deposit to be able to place the balance on a credit card.
Q: Where is the car picked up from and delivered to?
A: At this time we only offer Door to Door Service. When placing your order we ask for a pick up and delivery address with contact information for our representative and driver to coordinate the transport of your vehicle. Sometimes due to the location, street width and the size of the car carrier our Driver may have to meet you at the nearest open location (i.e., parking lots, supermarkets) for his truck to fit and be able to unload your vehicle.
